Description | This is one of the earliest photographs of Delmar Boulevard and the Delmar Loop. Streetcars ran out Delmar to Delmar Garden Amusement Park where they turned around to head back to downtown St. Louis. An indoor swimming pool was located on the south side of Delmar and the sign is just visible on the upper left. The Park Hotel which had been built for the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair is in the center. |
