Description | This float represented the painting division of the People's University Art Academy in the American Woman's League Convention parade on June 11, 1910. It was built on an automobile, and represents the artist's palette. The women wearing turbans to represent colors in the palette may have been honor students in the painting division. The Magazine Building appears in the background. Note the photographer standing on the pediment of the building. This photograph appeared in the June 14, 1910 issue of "The Woman's National Daily." |
