Date.Digital | 2002-05-05 | Date.Original | 1910-06 | Description | This float represented the emblem of the American Woman's League, "Woman's Mission," which was a woman, seated, with two children standing next to her. This float carried models of George Julian Zolnay's lions, as well as models of Zolnay's sphinx. This photograph appears to have been taken after the American Woman's League Convention parade on June 11, 1910 since some of the decorations have come loose and the lower skirting seems to be stained. | Source | Photograph, lower corners torn, staining, 9.69" by 7.79" | Subject | American Woman's League--Convention | Subject | University City (Mo.)--Pictorial Works | Subject.Keyword | Parades--Missouri--University City | Title | Art Academy Building (University City, Mo.) | Title | American Woman's League emblem float next to the Art Academy |
