Description | When Edward Gardner Lewis built the new headquarters for the Lewis Publishing Company, he also built a printing plant to house the presses and other equipment used in the production of "The Woman's Magazine" and "The Woman's Farm Journal." This photograph shows the Miehle flatbed printing presses lined up down the left and the Kidder rotary printing presses on the right. The large rolls of newsprint in the center of the plant were used with the Kidder rotary printing presses. |
