Description | In 1903, Edward Gardner Lewis hired architect Herbert C. Chivers to design the new headquarters for the Lewis Publishing Company. He designed the building using a mix of styles. In this photograph taken in the winter of 1903-1904, the exterior walls for the headquarters building, known more familiarly as the Woman's Magazine Building, are complete and framing is in place for the domed roof. |
