Description | In 1903, Edward Gardner Lewis hired architect Herbert C. Chivers to design the new headquarters for the Lewis Publishing Company. He designed the building using a mix of styles. In this photograph taken in the spring of 1904, the copper roof has been installed on the Woman's Magazine Building. Sculptor William Bailey's two-ton cupids are in place over the arched windows. The Press Annex is complete except for the conservatory which is under construction. |
