DescriptionThis photograph of Edward Gardner Lewis was taken in his office in the Woman's Magazine Building about 1910. His was the most elegant office in the building, with quarter sawn oak wainscoting and decorative plaster work. He also had his own private vault. George Julian Zolnay's model for the lion is on top of the roll-top desk. Plans for the new City Hall to be built at 6618 Delmar Boulevard are on the desk.
