DescriptionThe Woman's Magazine Building and Press Annex, designed by Herbert C. Chivers, were built for the Lewis Publishing Company in 1903. The Woman's National Daily Building (on the left), also designed by Chivers, was completed in 1906. The Press Annex was redesigned in late 1908 by architects Eames and Young so that it more closely resembled the design of the Magazine Building. The second floor was added at that time. All three buildings appear in this photograph taken on May 20, 1910. The street in the foreground is Oberlin Avenue (now Harvard Avenue).
