Description	When Edward Gardner Lewis built the Woman's Magazine Building in 1903, he included a massive searchlight on top of the building as a means of attracting people attending the St. Louis World's Fair just a short distance away. He ordered the searchlight from General Electric Company. This may have been a specification photograph, used compare the standard 9-inch searchlight with the 80-inch searchlight that Lewis purchased and had installed.
