DescriptionEdward Gardner Lewis selected this piece of property on the south side of Delmar Boulevard across from the Woman's Magazine Building as the site for the new building for the People's United States Bank. When the Bank was thrown into receivership 1905, plans for the intended building were adapted for use as the publishing plant for Lewis' newspaper venture, "The Woman's National Daily." The house on the upper left is facing Washington Avenue. The curved path in the dirt on the right was graded for Trinity Avenue.
