Description | When Edward Gardner Lewis' People's United States Bank was closed in 1905, architect Herbert C. Chivers' plans for the intended building were adapted for use as the publishing plant for Lewis' newspaper venture, "The Woman's National Daily." In this photograph, workmen are building forms for concrete for the Woman's National Daily Building. A plank construction drive has been built leading to a construction entrance on the lower level. |
