DescriptionWhen Edward Gardner Lewis' People's United States Bank was closed in 1905, architect Herbert C. Chivers' plans for the intended building were adapted for use as the publishing plant for Lewis' newspaper venture, "The Woman's National Daily." In this photograph, much of the concrete for the building has been poured, though another set of concrete forms surround the top of the building. Curbs and sidewalks are being installed along Trinity Avenue, west of the building.
