The lot was danated by Berry S. Crebs. Construction began in the summer of 1910, and the Chapter House was completed by the fall, but in November 1910, a suit for foreclosure was filed because of an unpaid mechanic's lien. Members of the Chapter worked hard to pay off the debt, and the Chapter House officially opened on March 30, 1911. Chapter officer were President, Mrs. Virginia Maltby; First Vice President, Mrs. Emma Smith; Second Vice President, Mrs. M. Wolfe; Treasurer, Mrs. C. S. Cochran; and Secretary, Mrs. Agnes E. MacNair.
