DescriptionThe St. George, Georgia Chapter of the American Woman's League qualified for this Class I arts and crafts style Chapter House built for them by the League on a lot donated by D. C. Welsh, mayor of St. George. The League provided each Chapter House with a set of mission style furniture and carpets. Above the fireplace is a plaque of the League's emblem, "Woman's Mission," designed by sculptor George Julian Zolnay.
