DescriptionThe American Woman's League Chapter in North Chicago, Illinois qualified for this Class II arts and crafts style Chapter House built for them by the League. The League also provided a set of mission style furniture and carpets, as well as a state of the art phonograph. The League's lending library of phonograph records circulated by mail amoung the Chapters in specially built record cases. The plaque over the fireplace, designed by George Julian Zolnay, is a representation of the League's logo - a woman, seated, with two children.
