DescriptionThe town had a population of only 200 people, but the American Woman's League Chapter in Peck, Idaho was one of the first Chapters to qualify for a Chapter House. The Chapter House, the second in the country, was built for them by the League on a lot provided by the Chapter. It was the scene of many social functions as well as funerals. Chapter officers were: President, Mrs. Sarah Ruff; Treasurer, Mrs. Bertha Oglesby; and Secretary, Mrs. Mary Hogan. Mrs. Catherine A. Waite had organized the Chapter, and served as its first president. The Chapter had 37 members.
