Description	This Member’s Participating Certificate was issued to Mabel Lewis on June 18, 1912, and entitled her to a share of the profits and dividends in the Regents Publishing and Mercantile Corporation, which was the business branch of the American Woman’s Republic. Mabel Lewis was president of the Republic and wife of founder Edward Gardner Lewis. The certificate is numbered “1.” Mabel Lewis’ signature as president appears to be a stamp. Alma Moore’s signature as treasurer appears to be original.
